Memorial Hospital honors Breast Cancer Awareness month with a PINK photo contest and raffle for mammography patients

Dr. Fred Matti, Radiologist, and the Breast Imaging Department of Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each year, Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County shows their support by encouraging women to schedule their screening mammograms and to do self-check breast exams to look for any irregularities.

This October, any woman that comes in for a mammogram in the Medical Imaging department at Memorial Hospital will be entered into a drawing for a PINK-themed basket featuring an iPad Mini with some great accessories. (Please speak to your primary care provider about referring you for a mammogram).

To get the public involved, Memorial Hospital has also put a challenge out to the community to wear PINK on Fridays, take a photo, and then share their “PINK Spirit” photos on their Facebook page. At the end of the month a random winner will be chosen for a PINK PIZZA PARTY catered by the Breast Imaging department. Submit your photos and stay updated here.
