NWS: Dry conditions prompt fire weather watch for Natrona and Washakie Counties

RIVERTON – High pressure will bring dry conditions, mostly sunny skies, and near normal temperatures today. Quiet conditions will persist through tonight. Generally dry conditions will continue through Monday, with a few isolated thunderstorms possible across the west/northwest. Due to warm temperatures, gusty southwest winds, and low humidity, a fire weather watch has been issued for portions of Natrona and Washakie counties for Monday and Tuesday. A fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
