Tell us a bit about yourself…

Nearly completing my first term on the Sweetwater County Board of County Commission, I’m running for re-election to the Board of County Commission.

I have served as an educational leader in the classroom, building, and district level for over 42 years, my last 20 years as a secondary administrator for Sweetwater County School District No. One.

I earned my undergraduate degree from St Cloud State College and graduate degrees from the University of Wyoming. My bride of 35 years, Carol, recently retired from teaching at the elementary level.

We have two sons, John and Beau, and we presently have three grandchildren – Gage, Allie, and Reed.

What makes you the best choice for county commissioner?

Throughout my public service career, I have maintained a high level of professionalism, integrity, and dedication to the people I serve and to the individuals working for me.

I have used my leadership skills to build “trusting” relationships with employees and stakeholders, honoring them as individuals and allowing them to operate in a dignified, fair, and impartial manner.

I’m running for re-election to continue making use of what I’ve learned as a commissioner over the years, and to join with others in achieving worthwhile things for all of Sweetwater County.

I will continue to listen to and work with the people of Sweetwater County. I believe “bridge-building” is key in making all things run efficiently and effectively in our county.

What do you hope to accomplish in your first year if re-elected?

If re-elected, I will continue to operate and to focus under the principle’s of doing the right thing vs. doing what’s right, and making certain the resources serve the people, not the people serving the resources.

It is my desire to serve you, the citizens of Sweetwater County for another term. I would sure appreciate your vote.
