ROCK SPRINGS – Archie Hay Post 24’s wild year continues as they were able to get a little revenge on Green River who beat them for the district title a week ago.
Rock Springs eliminated the Green River Knights from the tournament on Saturday morning with a 15-7 win. This keeps Post 24’s title hopes alive but it will take some work to get there.
Rock Springs will play the winner of Laramie and Douglas at 4 p.m. today. Douglas beat Rock Springs in the opening game of the state tournament 10-2. Powell beat Laramie 8-5 in the opening round but Laramie rallied back to eliminate the Casper Drillers on Friday 11-1. One advantage Rock Springs will have is they get a break in between games. Whoever wins between Douglas and Laramie will have to stay on the field to face Rock Springs.
If they win the 4 p.m. game they will then move on to play at 1 p.m. on Sunday. A Rock Springs win in that game will then move them in to Sunday’s championship game.
