Rebranding the Name and Honoring the Founders

Rebranding the Name and Honoring the Founders

In 2017, Rocky Mountain Sports joined Fremont Therapy Group‘s family of clinics, a strategic alliance that marked a new chapter for founder Michelle Cook, her husband Stan, and their practice. This partnership allowed Michelle to focus on patient care while Fremont Therapy Group provided essential support in staff recruiting, payroll, payables, and compliance. Whereas before the partnership, Michelle and Stan handled all of the above themselves. Recently, Rocky Mountain Sports underwent a name change to align more closely with Fremont Therapy Group’s other locations, unifying their brand and marketing efforts across Green River, Rawlins, Lander, Riverton, and Saratoga. Norma Stensaas, a longtime family friend and colleague, reflects on Michelle’s journey:

“I have known Michelle since she was a child. She worked summers at Memorial Hospital Physical Therapy Department long before she was accepted into a Physical Therapy program. Even then, she demonstrated great initiative, true caring about our patients, and a needed sense of humor. When she finished her PT program, we were fortunate to have her start her professional career with us at the hospital. Michelle demonstrated a true interest in every patient in her care, as she does today. She is kind, knowledgeable, dependable, loyal, and trustworthy. It was a sad day when she decided to pursue her independence from us, but what a fine career choice it was for her. She was irreplaceable and has continued to grow in her knowledge and abilities.”

Michelle’s dedication to patient care is reflected in the heartfelt testimonials of her patients. Phylann Lux, a patient of over 25 years, shares:

“I would not be able to do what I am without the therapy I receive from Rocky Mountain. I truly believe without Michelle as my therapist I would not be here today. She is my therapist, my friend, my confidant, and the person who is most concerned about my health. Her knowledge of therapy is the best, she knows how to keep you motivated. My life would be much more of a struggle without her; she inspires me so much.”

George ‘Bud’ Nelson, another grateful patient, echoes similar sentiments:

“Rocky Mountain Sports rehabilitation has been a big factor by being part of our community. Personally, on two different occasions in my recovery from two serious injuries, Rocky Mountain Sports has been there for me. Michelle Cook is my chosen physical therapist; she is a true professional, extremely knowledgeable, and well trained. She really cared about my well-being and successfully restored my health after a rotator cuff injury and a severe neck problem.”

Today, Michelle continues to inspire and heal through her practice, now rebranded under the Fremont Therapy Group name. This change reflects a unified approach to providing top-tier care across all their clinics while maintaining the same commitment to excellence that Michelle and her clinic has always embodied. As part of this larger network, Michelle remains a beacon of hope and healing, demonstrating the profound impact one dedicated professional can have on the lives of many.
