ROCK SPRINGS – Chief Mike Lowell reports that on December 10th, 2013 at around 4:08 A.M. a male subject entered the Kum and Go located at 2004 Dewar Drive and brandished a handgun. The male suspect demanded money from the clerk and then fled the scene.
The male subject was described as a white male early to mid 20’s, brown short hair, clean shaven with sideburns, between 5’ 6” to 5’ 8” tall and weighing between 150 lbs. to 180 lbs.
The suspect was wearing a black and rust colored jacket with what was later identified as a Quality Inn logo on the upper left chest area. He was also wearing black tight fitting thermal underwear with maroon colored shorts and white writing on the left leg near the bottom of the shorts. The suspect may have fled the scene in a White extended cab pickup truck, possibly a Nissan or Toyota.
As a result of press releases and Crime Stoppers tips, Detectives of the Rock Springs Police Department were directed to the subject identified as Cameron Kinsella, age 27. Several leads were developed and followed leading to the issuance of several Search & Seizure Warrants. Evidence located during execution of those warrant searches as well as a consent search and numerous interviews led to the arrest of Kinsella for Aggravated Robbery.
