ROCK SPRINGS — The Sweetwater County Child Developmental Center got some new shoes, in a manner of speaking, thanks to a generous donation from Genesis Alkali.
The trona mining company donated one set of tires to the SCCDC for its vans which transport children to and from school as well as taking daycare and preschool children on field trips around the community.
A second set went to the center’s maintenance truck.
“The donation of the tires for these vehicles was greatly appreciated,” said SCCDC Executive Director Dr. Cristy Pelham.
“Both vehicles are absolutely necessary in order to do the job we do to help children and
families in Sweetwater County,” Pelham continued.
“We would not be able to do what we do without the generosity of our community partners such as the wonderful people at Genesis Alkali.” said Genesis Alkali Corporate Communications Director David Caplan.
“We are pleased to make this tire donation as part of our continued support of the community and the Sweetwater County Child Developmental Center”.
