GREEN RIVER — Labor day weekend brought the annual Fort Bridger Mountain Man Rendezvous to the Bridger Valley. The reenactment celebrates the fur-trade-era that happened in the Rocky Mountains between 1825 and 1840.
We asked some of the mountain man reenactors, “What is the your favorite thing about the Fort Bridger Rendezvous?”
Draven “Holiday”
“The shooting and youth shoot, watching those little kids get so excited to shoot a black powder rifle is so cool,”

“The atmosphere, getting to kind of relive the old days and getting to associate with people I don’t see very often and meet new people.”
Christopher Call
“The evening entertainment. All the musicians, we all get around and we sing and play songs from 100 to 200 years ago, and even some songs from the 60s and 40s.
“Cricket”
“We just enjoy the environment, the people, the shoppers, and the nightlife is fun. We get to play cards, listen to music and just have an enjoyable time with all of our friends.”
