GREEN RIVER — Dozens of people took part in the Run with the Horses runs Saturday that took place as part of the annual River Festival in Green River. The event features a 5k, 10k, half marathon, and marathon where runners start at Evers Park and run up Wild Horse Canyon, before turning back and returning to the park.
There are a number of runs taking place in Sweetwater County throughout the year and several people turn out to participate in as many as they can. This led us to ask participants, “Why do you run?”
Abby: “We started running with her son … and we just thought it was fun. Just moms trying to have a hobby.”
