Arlin (Arlie) Glen Meeks, of Longmont, CO passed from this life on December 23, 2021. Arlie was born on February 3, 1962, in Evanston, WY, the son of Jack L. and Esther Meeks. He was the youngest of five siblings.
Arlie grew up in Granger, WY and graduated from Green River High School.
Arlie loved the outdoors! Hunting, fishing, camping, dirt bikes, and snow machining. Arlie seemed to always have a grin on his face, a joke to tell, or prank to plan. He was an incredible dirt bike/motocross rider. He had no fear and would give anything a whirl. Arlie had a knack for writing poems that were both comical and heartfelt.
The love he shared with his grandchildren Kamdon and Beau will always be cherished. It seemed like Arlie could always find a friend to talk to and/or spend some time with.
Arlie worked as an electrician throughout his adult life, traveling the United States always doing
quality work. Arlie usually had a job waiting for him. While working in the oilfields he met and
later married Beverly Williams. To this union Casey, Terrance, and Paige were born. Arlie and
Beverly later divorced.
Arlie was proceeded in death by his father Jack L. Meeks and sister-in-law Penny Meeks. He is survived by his mother Esther Meeks, Shoshone, ID. Two sons, Casey (Nicole) Meeks of Thornton, CO, Terrance Meeks, Longmont, CO. One daughter, Paige Meeks, of Longmont, CO, as well as his two grandsons Kamdon and Beau. Also surviving Arlie are three brothers and one sister. Boyd Meeks, Ft. Bridger, WY, Lloyd (Misty) Meeks, Rock Springs, WY, Colleen (David) Conner, Dietrich, ID, and Jack A. (Robyn) Meeks, Mountain View, WY, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
Cremation has taken place and services will be held on February 3, 2022, 11 am at the American Legion Hall in Fort Bridger, WY. A luncheon will follow at the American Legion Hall. We welcome all family and friends who knew Arlie to come join the family at the services.
