ROCK SPRINGS — A free educational program for cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and family members is taking place at the Rock Springs Library Ferrero Room Oct. 7.

Presented by Blood Cancer United, the “Thriving Locally: Your Guide to Rural Cancer Survivorship Services” program starts at 11:30 a.m. and concludes at 1:30 p.m. and will teach people how integrative health and survivorship services can support healing and a person’s well-being.

Attendees will also learn about local resources such as oncology rehabilitation, mental health counseling, nutrition support, exercise programs and other services. They will also learn strategies for managing treatment side effects, along with improving their emotional and physical health.
