All Programs are Free and Open to the Public
Rock Springs — Western Wyoming Community College welcomes the campus and community to the Fall Colloquia, a series of fun and informative presentations that are part of the College’s First-Year Success course. These programs are provided for the benefit and enrichment of students who are enrolled in the one-credit preparatory course, but there will be evening presentations for the convenience of high school students and other community members who would like to take part. All programs are free and open to the public.

“Quickies in the Desert,” presented by Professor of Biological Sciences Sandy Mitchell.

Nursing is a high-demand field, and more nurses will be needed in Wyoming and across the country in coming years. Hear from a panel of healthcare professionals about the many rewards and benefits of a career in nursing!
First-Year Success classes, more commonly referred to as First-Year Experience courses, are a familiar offering at two-year and four-year colleges and universities. These classes help students to develop the self-awareness, study habits, and sense of personal and social responsibility they will need to be successful in college.
The Fall Colloquia are intended to introduce First-Year Success students to topics and ideas that will help them to focus their academic interests and make wise practical decisions about what classes to take, how to pay for college, whether to become involved in volunteerism, and other choices.
Western is pleased to invite the broader campus and the community to these fun and informative sessions. Both day and evening sessions are open to the public.
