ROCK SPRINGS — Jerry Louis “Teddy” Garner, 60, of Rock Springs died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 after a sudden illness.
He was born December 24, 1954 in Evanston, Wyoming, the son of Ernest Garner and Norine Birch Garner. He attended schools in Evanston and graduated from the Evanston High School.
He married Kelly Thomas March 22, 1980 in Evanston. They were later divorced.
He had been employed for Questar for 33 years.
His interests were spending time with his grandchildren, riding Harleys, hunting, fishing, reading, and getting tattoos.
Survivors include his daughters Jacki DeWitt and husband Jeremy of Rock Springs, Jessilyn Potter of Rock Springs; mother Norine Garner of Evanston; brother John Garner and wife Linda of Rock Springs; grandchildren Saylor DeWitt, Scotlyn DeWitt, Brooklyn Potter and Jade Potter; one niece and two nephews; friend Jenny Gilson and her sons Austyn Gilson and Anthony Archuleta all of Price Utah.
He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Garner.
Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
A celebration of Life will be held 12:00-3:00 pm Saturday, May 16,2015 at the Freight Station, 603 S. Main St., Rock Springs.
