Staley’s Taco Times Honored with Many Corporate Awards

Toni Brown, Andrea Owens, Becky Byerly, and Jennifer Schwartz from Staley's Taco Time

Staley’s Taco Time locations & staff in Southwest Wyoming have recently been honored with many corporate awards. Every year in March during Taco Time’s corporate meetings; stores, employees and owners are awarded individual plaques in recognition for hard work and dedication in various areas of business such as sales goals, customer service, cleaning, and performance.  These awards honor the employees and stores that make the chain what it is today and, recognize those who go above and beyond to provide a quality experience to their customers. This year Staley’s Taco Times left the meeting with a box full of awards representing all 5 stores.  Leaving with all those awards is something that is “a little awkward to accept” to owners Denise and Lee Staley but above all makes them extremely proud and honored to have such an amazing group of individuals working to make the Rock Springs, Green River, Lyman and Kemmerer locations the best in the Taco Time franchise.

These awards aren’t given, they are earned! And with these awards comes a lot of hard work and sacrifice by our employees.  While we expect to receive these awards every year, that doesn’t take away from what an important achievement it is to have all of our stores and so many of our employees receive these top honors for our chain. –Jamie Buell, Director of Operations for the Staley’s Taco Times

The award that the Staley’s and Buell are most proud of is the Golden Cactus Awards.  This award is given to stores that received a 93% or higher on all corporate inspection categories including Quality, Service and Cleanliness (QSCE).  All five locations received this award; Rock Springs Elk Street with 94.4%, Rock Springs Dewar Drive with 94.8%, Green River with 95.4%, Lyman with 97.6% and Kemmerer with 95%.  Lyman Taco Time also received the award for the Highest Average QSCE scores among all stores in the Salt Lake City CO-OP of more than 60 stores.  Multi-Unit Owner with the Highest QSCE Scores:   5 stores…95.4% Best Local Store Marketing was won by Lee and Denise Staley for all of their 5 stores.  This award was won due to outstanding community participation with events such as the Make A Wish fundraiser for Rock Springs & Green River High School Students, the huge 40th Anniversary celebration, the Taco Trailer, and holiday promotions, just to name a few.  Staff members in all locations, Rock Springs, Green River, Kemmerer, & Lyman have all contributed to the success of these projects, and really provide something special to the communities they are a part of.
