GREEN RIVER — Green River High School senior Cole Murray signed his national letter of intent with Division I Weber State University track & field team.

Throughout his recruitment process, Murray had a lot of interest from various schools. Coaches who recruited him all commented on his six-foot, seven-inch frame. With bigger and heavier throwing implements at the collegiate level, size and strength become differentiators that coaches can build on. Coaches including Weber State believed that Murray’s potential to put on more size will help him be successful at the next level.
Murray recognized he couldn’t have taken the next step without GRHS Head Coach Dan Hansen and Lincoln Middle School Head Coach Wally Cantrell for all their support. He was appreciative of his GRHS teammates for all their support throughout high school, and he wished them the best of luck at state this week.
