Rock Springs Lady Tigers Swim Team Prepares for Unique Competition

ROCK SPRINGS – The starting blocks at Rock Springs High School will have a few different faces on them this Friday as local first responders will hit the pool.

Fans will get to see members of local law enforcement agencies and firemen battle it out. Of course, the fan-favorite Rock Springs Lady Tigers will be competing for bragging rights.

The event gets underway this Friday, Nov. 11 at 5 p.m. at the Rock Springs High School pool. Tickets are $10 per person with children six and under free. All money raised goes to help the Rock Springs Swim Team purchase new equipment and new suits.

Tickets will be available at the door.

Don’t expect to see the typical races. In one race, a teammate will be handcuffed to one side of the pool while another teammate races to the other side, dives for a key at the bottom of the pool and back.

Along with the enjoyment of a unique swimming competition, fans will also have a chance to bid on silent auction items and there will also be raffle items given away. Some of the things you can bid on include tickets to see the Wyoming Cowboy Football team on Nov. 19 and unique items made by a local woodcarver.

Sloppy Joes will also be served to fans.
