ROCK SPRINGS — On July 7, 2015 at approximately 2:45 pm the City of Rock Springs Police Department Street Crimes Unit along with Officers, Detectives, and DCI Agents executed a narcotics related search warrant at 720 5th Avenue West. Upon execution of the search warrant contact with Amber Garcia inside her residence of 720 5th Avenue West.

A search of Garcia’s residence was conducted. In Garcia’s bedroom felony amounts of methamphetamine were located along with associated methamphetamine paraphernalia.

Garcia, 28 of Rock Springs, was placed under arrest for being in possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, a felony. Garcia was incarcerated that the Sweetwater County Detention Facility. Bond was not set at the time of the media release.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
