Snow to Remain in Sweetwater County Through Thursday

SWEETWATER COUNTY — Sweetwater County is now in a weather storm alert until Thursday afternoon, according to the United States National Weather Service.

Rock Springs, Green River, Flaming Gorge and east Sweetwater County can expect periods of snow with accumulations between 1-3 inches. Wind gusts of up to 50 mph are also expected, according to the NWS.

According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT), travel along the Interstate 80 corridor will be impacted by the storm. Snow is forecasted to fall across the state between the Utah state line all the way to Cheyenne, which will impact travel. Interstate 25 will also be impacted with snow and black ice conditions.
