SWEETWATER COUNTY — The United States National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm warning for Sweetwater County starting Thursday, December 23, at 5 p.m. and running through Friday, December 24, at 6 p.m.
According to the NWS, Rock Springs, Green River, Flaming Gorge, and east Sweetwater County will see the biggest impacts from the winter storm making its way through Wyoming. Residents can expect to see 2-4 inches of snow, accompanied by gusting winds of up to 55 mph.
“Travel will be very difficult,” the NWS stated. “Blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.”
