GREEN RIVER– In celebration of National Women’s History Month, the Sweetwater County Library System and its Exhibits Committee is exhibiting art by several local women artists. The display is at Sweetwater County Library in Green River now through April.
A call to artists was announced several weeks ago and the following artists submitted work —
Debra Uhls, Deon Quitberg, Kay Keller, Theresa Weber, Angelina Q. Bennett, Sandra Banks, Cherrie Dittman, Brooke Andreasen, and Debora Soule.
There are several watercolors and acrylic paintings, one drawing, an encaustic painting and a few mixed media pieces. Subject matter ranges from florals and landscapes to animals and abstracts.
The public is invited to stop by the library to see this exhibit as well as exhibits at the White Mountain Library and the Community Fine Arts Center.
The Exhibits Committee meets throughout the year to review applications and schedule exhibits. Artists interested in displaying their work are encouraged to submit an application for an individual exhibit. Application packets are available at any county library circulation desk and at the Community Fine Arts Center.
The Exhibits
Committee is made up of community members Angie Bennett, Deon Quitberg and
