Gregory Charles Hedges, a devoted and loving father, son, and brother, passed away peacefully in his home on August 19, 2026, age 63, following a brave battle with a lengthy illness. He was born March 20, 1963 on Hamilton Air Force Base in Novato, California, to proud parents Stephen Hedges and Joan Peyrouse Hedges.

Greg had a passion for life and thrived on new experiences. In his early adulthood, he frequented the beautiful beaches of California and loved spending time doing his favorite hobby of surfing. He later moved to the Denver area to be closer to his parents and siblings.

In 1995, he found his new joy in life when he became a father. His dedication to his family and hardworking attitude was one of many admirable qualities, and he took on many different jobs to make sure his family was taken care of. He loved working with his hands and was proud to work in the construction industry for many years.

It wasnโ€™t until moving his family to Rock Springs in early 2006 that he found his true calling of driving big rigs, which became his career. He especially enjoyed getting to see new places and talk to interesting people everywhere he went. He spent over 20 years there raising his two beautiful boys.

Despite his devotion to working and supporting those he loved, he never lost his sense of adventure and had many fulfilling hobbies and pastimes. A lifetime lover of the great outdoors, he was always longing for some of his beloved activities such as dirt biking, skiing, horseback riding, going on motorcycle runs, and scuba diving at the local Flaming Gorge Reservoir.

Later in his life, he moved back to Colorado with his long-time partner and youngest son, so that he could be close to the thing that he held most dear, his family. He spent his final years experiencing all the great things Colorado has to offer, and above all else, cherishing his children.

Greg was preceded in death by his father Stephen Hedges, and older brother Steve Hedges, both of the Denver area.

He is survived by his mother, Joan Hedges; two sons Travis Hedges (Jessie), Devin Hedges, and their mother Shannon Bullard; siblings Bruce Hedges, Joli Hedges (Michael), and Jodi Pinckernell (Nick), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Gregโ€™s sisters residenceย 13406 W 60th Place, Arvada, CO 80004.
