Jacqueline "Jackie" Faye Brown (December 18, 1955 - February 4, 2021)

Jacqueline “Jackie” Faye Brown, passed away suddenly at her home in Center, Texas on February 4, 2021.

Our mother was one of the hardest working, kindest, loving women and we were blessed to have her as ours.  Jackie was always the life of any room she entered.  She always greeted you with her amazing smile and beautiful eyes. She never met a stranger, once you were introduced to her you would always be a friend.

She was born December 18, 1955 to Eugene Spaude and LaVern Keck in Norfolk, Nebraska.

She graduated from Rock Springs High School in 1974. During her high school years she was very involved in track and held several records. To this day her grandson credits his speed to her.

Jackie had two children, Tabitha and Ernie who were the most treasured and important part of her life. Very closely behind that were her 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The fact that she lived 22 hours away never once stopped her from being there for all of their important events from their senior nights for their sports, homecoming and especially their graduations. She would load up her vehicle with her sweet pup Alice and for many years her mother LaVern and they would arrive ready to help with the planning and ready to celebrate. She enjoyed canning anything and everything and always made sure to bring jelly, salsa and so many other goodies.  She loved caring for the fish in her pond, her 6 dogs and all of her chickens. She was a beloved vendor at the Nacogdoches Market where she would sell her eggs and bragged about selling out in less than an hour every Saturday. She was known as Miss Jackie by all of her Texas friends.

Jackie had a routine of having coffee with her sister Linda every morning. It was one of her favorite parts of her day. Whether she was at home or out of town they never missed a day.

She would also have daily conversations with her sister Cindy, and Sissy Wright.

Jackie had made her home on Snowhill in Center, Texas with Tommy Wright for the past 20+ years and they spent many days with Kenneth and Sarah Shahan caring for the property, the animals and enjoying the calmness of it.

She is survived by her companion Tommy Wright,  daughter Tabitha Randall (husband Preston), son Ernie Cordova (wife Kari), grandchildren Preslee Randall and fiancé Dallen Daley, Mason Randall (Catherine Johnson), Jenna Randall, Adrianne Cordova, Damien Cordova (Kayleigh Allison), Gage Cordova (wife Valarie), great grandchildren Evander Largent, Charlie Spencer, Jaxson and Paizlee Cordova, sisters Linda (Dave Chavez), Patty (Brett Boye), Cynthia (Scott Guerin), Roberta Spaude, and brothers Steve Spaude and Paul Spaude.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jimmy Spaude.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date this spring.
