Rock Springs Fire Department Recognizes Two Members in Friday Ceremony

ROCK SPRINGS — The Rock Springs Fire Department held a pinning ceremony on Friday night at the Broadway Theater to honor two of its members.

Firefighter Dalton Buller recently completed his probationary period for the department and received his pin from his wife Caitlyn.

The department also recognized firefighter Kyle McLendon who has completed the Managing Officer Program from the National Fire Academy. The NFA’s Managing Officer Program is a multiyear curriculum that introduces up-and-coming emergency services leaders to personal and professional skills in change management, risk reduction and adaptive leadership.

Acceptance into the program is the first step in the professional development as a career or volunteer fire/Emergency Medical Services (EMS) manager, and includes all four elements of professional development: education, training, experience and continuing education.
