ROCK SPRINGS –Sage Elementary children sang to veterans and families on Friday afternoon during an assembly in honor of Veteran’s Day.

Sage Elementary Principal Tina Searle was emcee for the assembly while Music Teacher Holly Moyer led the students in song. Guest speaker Buddy Kaumo spoke of his experiences in the military.

Many local representatives were in attendance, including Rock Springs City Councilman Tim Savage, Rock Springs Mayor Carl Demshar, and Wyoming State Legislature Representative Joanne Dayton.

Major Marko Rubich was honored for his military service with a reading from his son, Michael. He was also accompanied by his wife Heidi Rubich and their children Cooper and Ainsley.

Western Wyoming Community College athletes were even in attendance, sitting in the crowd with the elementary students.
