ROCK SPRINGS – There have been a few new appointments and a couple of re-appointments on the Rock Springs Planning and Zoning Commission recently.
This past week, Craig Nelson was officially introduced as the newest appointment to the Commission. He was selected to the commission before the February meeting but was unable to attend. Nelson was in Cheyenne lobbying the legislature on behalf of the city.
Nelson is filling the seat vacated by Gary Watkins who recently moved back to Kansas City. This is his second time on the commission and Nelson is also a former Rock Springs City Councilman.
Joe Drnas joined the commission at last month’s meeting. Drnas replaced Paul Legerski who recently finished his term on the board.
Rock Springs City Planner Jennifer Shields said Mark Erickson was also recently reappointed by the Rock Springs City Council and Mike Shaw will be in front of the council for reappointment at Tuesday night’s meeting.
