Rock Springs Planning and Zoning Approves Red Horse Oil Addition

ROCK SPRINGS – After adding several natural gas pumps to Rock Springs, Red Horse Oil continues to expand. On Wednesday, the Rock Springs Planning and Zoning Commission approved a request to add a new premium gas pump.

The commission approved a conditional use permit to RHO to construct a 20,000-gallon underground storage tank to hold fuel for a new single premium gas pump at their facility located at 1640 Elk Street. The premium gas will contain no ethanol.

RHO Represent Jay Schneiders said the pump would be located to the back of the building. When asked how residents would find the pump, Schneiders explained they would advertise it and rely on word of mouth. Ultimately, Schneiders said there is such a high demand for it, residents will find it.

Schneiders said the plan is to break ground at the end of August and the pump should be up and running a couple of weeks after that.
